All the casino games are about betting and so is Blackjack. However, in contrast to games like, Craps, Sic Bo and Roulette, Blackjack betting rules are not so complex. Still we can’t turn a blind eye to these rules before putting our hard- earned money on stake. So, let’s examine all the Blackjack betting rules one by one.
Ante: This is the initial bet. You initiate your game play by placing an ante bet which has to be at least $5 according to the standard table limits which may vary from casino to casino. The first set of initial two cards are dealt to you only after you place your ante bet.
Doubling your Bet: You can double your bet if you feel that only one more card can make a great deal of difference to the total in your hand by making it strong enough to beat the dealer. But remember that you can only draw one card when you double your bet. So, in case you need more than one card to take your hand total close to 21, you must hit.
Split: While you split the pairs, your betting amount automatically gets doubled by your original wager. As you keep splitting the pairs, your betting amount keeps increasing by your original betting value. Like if you split thrice you will be betting $15 in total, if your original wager is $5. Most of the casinos limit the splitting option to four times. But there are certain casinos that allow you to split the pairs unlimited number of times.
Insurance Bet: Finally there is an insurance bet too. This betting option pops up only when the dealer’s up card is an Ace. Under this betting option you have the choice of betting half your ante bet on the probability of the dealer having a Blackjack. If the dealer has a Blackjack, you win double your insurance amount.
Compared to casino games with a complicated maze of betting options like Craps, Blackjack betting rules are a bit too plain and simple. Just go through them once and you are all set to rock the Blackjack tables navigate to these guys.
